In cooperation with the Chair of Art History of Prof. Magdalena Droste, the Chair of Representation Studies has designed the book "Mythos Bauhaus", which has just been published by Reimer Verlag, as part of a Master's seminar.Mythos Bauhaus critically examines the Bauhaus as an icon of modernity and questions the image we have of the Bauhaus. In doing so, it reveals the diversity and contradictory nature of the school, many aspects of which mirror the history of the Weimar Republic. The authors discuss the architects and the architecture as well as the painters and the reception of Bauhaus modernism in the postwar period.
