Early career support is a key goal of the DFG FOR1182 Research Unit. The main aim of early career support is to provide young scientists and academics with the opportunity early on to carry out research as independently and autonomously as possible. One special characteristic of the DFG FOR1182 Research Unit Programme is the close integration of early career researchers into a scientific network with appropriate equipments and administrative structures. Two research group meetings are organized per year for data and result exchange as well as an international conference. If necessary, some small bi- or trilateral partner meetings will be also scheduled. For the support of the women in terms of equal opportunities and reconciliation of family and academic career, 30% of academic staff in our project are female.
