On 29 July 2026, a delegation from Pakistan visited the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). During discussions with the university management and students, Ambassador Saqlain Syedah learnt about study programmes and areas of research.

In June 2026, four EUNICE Student Research Clubs presented their diverse and innovative research projects to an EUNICE jury. With a clear focus on interdisciplinary approaches, the clubs put forward their own research ideas with a view to developing solutions to complex societal issues.

The Shell Eco-marathon Poland took place from 24 to 28 June 2026 at the Silesia Ring in Kamień Śląski.

This colourful mix of Singing, dancing and culinary delights has long since become a cherished tradition – and for many visitors, a highlight of the Cottbus City Festival. BTU President Prof. Gesine Grande and Lord Mayor Tobias Schick will open the event together.

On 12 June, the Spreekino Spremberg became a stage for entertaining science: at the 5th Brandenburg Science Slam, six slammers presented their topics to an audience of just under 150 people. The winner was Rudy Cepeda Gomez from the DLR Institute of Electrified Aviation Propulsion.
