On March 21, 2024, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg and TECNALIA, an institute for applied research in Spain, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of deepening their previous collaboration.

BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg is taking part in the "#Zusammenland - Vielfalt macht uns stark" campaign initiated by DIE ZEIT, Handelsblatt, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Tagesspiegel, WirtschaftsWoche and Ströer.

With a unique experiment that can only be carried out in zero gravity, BTU researchers want to investigate the effects of global warming on the Earth's polar ice caps and the associated changes in air and ocean currents.

Michael Ryan Blackmore is in his third semester of the online Master's degree course in World Heritage Studies (WHS) at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU). The US-born student took part in the 2023 ICOMOS student competition on the topic of "1960+ / Pleas for the preservation of postmodern buildings" and is one of the winners.
