EUNICE at the Campus of European Universities in Paris
Representatives of 300 institutions participating in the 41 European Higher Education Alliances - including EUNICE, the European University for Customised Education - will meet in Versailles on Thursday, 30 June 2022. They will take stock of the projects they have implemented. Other participants from EU Member States and the European Commission, as well as European and other partners from business and society, will come together with the particular aim of strengthening the international dimension of the European University Initiative.
The event is designed as a campus open to European and global stakeholders in the higher education sector. It gives the Alliances the opportunity to present their activities and objectives to students and other interested parties. Thematic workshops and round table discussions will provide a framework to discuss how European universities contribute to the implementation of the European Strategy.
The conference aims to promote alliances and cross-border cooperation in higher education, research and innovation. It is part of the European Higher Education Strategy for the Future of Europe and will be shaped according to the recommendation of the European Council.
In the course of his speech introducing the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union in December 2021, French President Emmanuel Macron called for the organisation of a major meeting of European universities. This Campus of European Universities is organised by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research together with the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and other French institutions.
The French Minister for Higher Education and Research, Sylvie Retailleau, visited the EUNICE stand at the beginning of her tour of the exhibition and informed herself about the offers and projects.
