Opening of the Welcome and Registration point for international students – For a smooth start into a new chapter

At the Welcome and Registration Point, international first-year students receive relevant information on enrolment, starting their studies, as well as a comprehensive range of advice on everything you need when starting out in a new country. Opportunities for student networking are promoted.

At the start of the winter semester, international applicants and newly enrolled international students can find out more about the enrollment process and starting their studies at the BTU at the Welcome and Registration Point. In addition to a comprehensive collection of relevant information for the target group, new international students will be welcomed by the Welcome Tutors of the International Relations Office on site at the BTU from September 5, 2022, and will be fully supported in their start into student life at the BTU.

The Welcome Tutors, who are international as well as German students of the BTU in higher semesters, are also available during the online consultation hours as peers to support and advise international first-year students with questions and uncertainties about starting their studies at the BTU and the enrollment process. International first-year students will find the Welcome & Registration Point on the main campus Cottbus, in the main building on the 4th floor and on the campus Senftenberg, in the teaching building 2 in office 2.205 during the following opening hours:
Cottbus main campus: Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Senftenberg Campus: Tuesday & Thursday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (We kindly ask for prior registration)

In addition, the Online Welcome & Registration Point regularly offers events where newcomers can network and exchange information with each other even before classes begin.

At the start of the winter semester, the BTU's International Relations Office will also organize various exchange formats to support the successful start of studies.
