„Teaching Day 2022” will take place under the motto: "Artificial Intelligence at the BTU: teaching concepts - challenges - practical relevance".

Online registration is open.

We invite you to the “Teaching Day” on 10th November 2022 from 12:30 - 18:15 in the Central Lecture Hall Building at the BTU. Together with you, we would like to make current developments, concepts, projects, and ideas at our university visible which address the major topic of Artificial Intelligence in the teaching context and discuss the following questions, among others:

  • What skills do students need for the AI world of tomorrow?
  • What are the needs and expectations of the economy?
  • How can a basic understanding of AI technology also be conveyed to non-computer scientists?
  • What are the opportunities and risks of using AI technology in higher education?

At this year's keynote, Prof. Dr. Denny Paulicke from the Akkon University of Human Sciences Berlin will speak on the topic of "Transformative success conditions to build up digital competencies in teaching and learning concepts".

Afterwards, the central issues of the "Teaching Day" will be addressed and discussed from different perspectives in three parallel sessions. During a moderated tour of the “Market of Possibilities”, you will learn about current AI applications and research approaches. At the panel discussion, BTU members and external guests will highlight the topic "How do ethic reflections enter Artificial Intelligence?"

This year's teaching prizes and the AI scholarships will be awarded as part of the Teaching Day.

The closing keynote "AI, Machine Learning and Automation: Demystifying buzzwords as an element of operational Education and Training and an elementary prerequisite for a future-oriented railway in Germany" by Christian Düsi, DB Training, Learning & Consulting; Senior Product Manager "DB Lernwelt" - New Learning Solutions will complete the day.
