We celebrate 25 years of the Max Grünebaum Foundation

The Staatstheater Cottbus and the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Max Grünebaum Foundation with an anniversary event on November 6, 2022. In addition, this year's Max Grünebaum Awards and the sponsorship awards for young scientists and artists will be presented during the ceremony.

On Sunday, November 6, 2022, starting at 11 a.m., the doors of the Cottbus State Theater will open for the annual ceremony to award the Max Grünebaum Prizes. This year's event also marks the anniversary of "25 years of the Max Grünebaum Foundation". Students, employees of both institutions as well as interested citizens from the city and the region are cordially invited to participate in the public celebration together with the donor family. Admission is free of charge.

The award ceremony for young artists and scientists from the university and the state theater has already become a firm tradition in Cottbus. Once a year, many interested people accept the invitation to the Great House on Schillerplatz to attend the dignified, artistically framed celebration.

The heirs of the Cottbus cloth manufacturer and honorary citizen Max Grünebaum (1851-1925) donate the awards to promote the connections between Cottbus and England. The Max Grünebaum Foundation thus once again sets a sign for understanding, reconciliation and appreciation.
