Artificial intelligence: between everyday helper and architect of the future

Lecture, Q&A session and discussion with physicist Dr. Svetlana Meissner, BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg

On Friday, November 17, 2023 at 5:00 p.m., the Spremberg Presence Office and the Spremberg Volunteer Agency invite you to an informative evening into the world of artificial intelligence (AI). The one-and-a-half-hour event will take place in the Volkssolidarität lecture theatre at Georgenstraße 37, 03130 Spremberg.

Svetlana Meissner, who works as an AI trainer at the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Spreeland at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, will spend the first 45 minutes explaining in an understandable way how artificial intelligence works and how it is already being used successfully in various areas of our everyday lives - from smart assistants and autonomous driving to medical diagnostics. In addition, Meissner will dispel some of the most common myths and misconceptions about AI to give a realistic picture of the possibilities and limitations of this technology. In the second half of the event, physicist Svetlana Meissner will answer questions from visitors.

The event offers an excellent opportunity to learn more about the fascinating topic of AI and to understand how it affects our everyday lives. The speaker will also show how we can build trust in this technology.

Admission is from 16:30 and entry is free. The Spremberg Presence Center and the Spremberg Volunteer Agency look forward to seeing you there!
