Master concert with multiple award-winning guitarist

Danilo Kunze is one of the most interesting and successful German guitarists of the younger generation. He has won numerous competitions, including the German Guitar Prize 2020. In his programs he dedicates himself, in addition to the established repertoire, especially to little played to completely unknown, valuable compositions.

In this master concert, the Weimar-born guitarist will perform works by François de Fossa, Ferdinand Rebay, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Malcolm Arnold, Joan Manén and Joaquín Rodrigo. Admission is free, a donation in favor of the Cottbus Guitar Association is requested.

Background
This second concert with outstanding guitarists is also organized by the Verein zur Förderung der klassischen Gitarre in Cottbus und Brandenburg e. V. (Association for the Promotion of Classical Guitar in Cottbus and Brandenburg), which was founded by teachers and students of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. The aim is to promote the classical guitar in the region and beyond, and to offer interested people of all ages a lively cultural and informative program. In doing so, special attention is paid to the promotion of young talent: all events, including individual master classes, are accessible to interested guitar students on a low-threshold basis and are intended to provide them with inspiration, motivation and professional know-how for their personal artistic development.
