Contributors welcome at science and poetry slam for BTU anniversary celebration

Not only BTU employees are invited to participate, but all interested parties who enjoy getting other people excited about their interests. In addition to schoolchildren with a minimum age of twelve and students, for example, people who have long since completed their education and studies, including senior citizens, are also welcome.

The Science and Poetry Slam 2023 will start on the afternoon of July 8, probably at 3 p.m. in Presence on the main stage. Anything can be presented - from topics from philosophy and future predictions to the various natural sciences to water and culture, as well as much more. Insults, slander and attacks on sensitive groups or individuals are of course not included and are prohibited.

The slammers have a maximum of ten minutes to enchant the audience. The audience jury decides on the victory with a point system. Small prizes will be awarded. Participation is possible for individuals, but also for groups of up to four people. Everything that fits into the speaking time is allowed: so props and small live experiments.

- the chosen topic (including the title)
- a team name
- the required material (we will try to help with procurement problems!)
- information about the person registering and contact details.

The students Ronja Tittel from Biotechnology and Nele Hoffmann from Materials Chemistry as well as the staff member Christin Faulstich from the faculty Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Energy Systems are involved in the Science Slam Team of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
The team is looking forward to many applications for science and poetry slams as well as to numerous visitors.
