Brandenburg Day in Finsterwalde: The BTU is there!
The BTU's participation in Brandenburg Day will take place as part of the joint presence of Westlausitz | Finsterwalde in cooperation with Wildau University of Applied Sciences.
This year's Brandenburg Day will take place in Finsterwalde on September 2 and 3, 2023. For one weekend, the singer's town will be the backdrop for the large exhibition with folk festival character. On both days, the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and TH Wildau will present themselves together on the education mile and in the premises of the presence office. In addition, future projects of the BTU will be presented at the booth of the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture (MWFK) on the Business and Innovation Mile.
The College of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and the TH Wildau on Bildungsmeile (Street of Youth):
The BTU College offers prospective students and students a variety of study information and qualification programs as well as an overview of the study orientation offers. Colleagues from the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will be available at the stand to provide information and advice. Interested parties can gain practical insights through the use of VR glasses and microscopy.
TheTH Wildau exhibits three research projects that show how diverse the study and applied research are:
- Truck of Wildauer Maschinen Werke - via a video, interested parties can gain insights into autonomous driving and learn about the cross-curricular research group.
- FullDrug - by means of a model, interested parties gain access to new approaches in tumor therapy through fullerene complexes.
- ALADIN (Advanced Low Altitude Data Information System)- is a 5G-based communication system for monitoring at-risk wildfire areas. Here, reconnaissance drones and unmanned firefighting vehicles are used to extinguish contaminated forest areas more quickly in the future.
Stands in the Business and Innovation Mile (Oscar Kjellberg Street):
At the booth of the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture (MWFK), three future projects will be presented:
- WIR! alliance "Land-Innovation-Lausitz" (LIL).Here you can find information about exciting projects that aim to adapt agriculture in Lusatia to climate change.
- Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco).: Chesco is a research center for alternative drive systems for the mobility sector at the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
- pro_digital: and the Medium-Sized Digital Center Spreelandpresent themselves and show excerpts of how small and medium-sized enterprises can benefit from concrete digitization examples and tailored, provider-neutral support offers in the state of Brandenburg and Lusatia.
At the Presence Office (Markt 1, City Hall):
The premises of the Presence Office will be transformed into a café on Brandenburg Day. For a small donation for a good cause, you can be served coffee, cake and more by the Ladies Lions Club Finsterwalde-Niederlausitz. The Staff Members of the Presence Office are happy to inform you about their activities for our region.
