First Career Week of the Berlin and Brandenburg universities - BTU takes part

Together with twelve other universities, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is hosting a themed week on applications, career entry and careers from February 12 to 16, 2024.

For the first time, students and graduates of the participating universities in the capital region will be able to find out about the wide range of career services on offer in Berlin and Brandenburg during Career Week. The focus of the program with a variety of training and information events and workshops includes professional orientation, career opportunities, application document checks, preparation for job interviews and finally for starting a career. The 32 events offered across all universities in person or digitally are free of charge for participants.

The program also offers the opportunity to get in touch with potential employers - for example on Thursday, February 15, from 4:15 to 6:30 pm. In an online event organized by BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, the Company presentations for (prospective) engineersinterested parties have the opportunity to get to know a total of twelve companies and find out about numerous offers ranging from internships to direct career entry.

Thomas Elfert, Head of the Career Center at BTU, emphasizes: "The Career Week is intended to build a bridge between studies and career entry for our students and graduates. The extensive program, developed in collaboration with Berlin and Brandenburg's academic institutions, aims to provide students with the tools they need to successfully start their careers and to bring them into direct contact with potential employers. Career Week is symbolic of our conviction that close cooperation between universities, students and industry is essential in order to successfully meet the challenges of the job market.
