Potsdam Science Day 2024 - BTU will be there

"Research. Discover. Join in." - is once again the motto of the Science Day in the state capital, which the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is helping to organize on Saturday, May 4, from 1 to 7 p.m. in the "Albert Einstein" Science Park.

At the 11th Potsdam Science Day in buildings A 43 and H, BTU professors, staff members and students will be presenting an exciting program of lectures on current research topics and inviting visitors to take part in hands-on experiments and activities.

More than 30 universities, schools and research institutions in Brandenburg will be represented on Potsdam's Telegrafenberg with a variety of program items. Admission to this event for the whole family is free.

Throughout the day, visitors can immerse themselves in virtual learning worlds, experiment with AI tools and explore their future skills at the information stand of the Centre for Continuing Education. Modern robotics technology can be experienced in a playful way at the Unex school laboratory located at the university's college.

Multifaceted lectures

Prof. Dr. Thorsten Zander will explain how neuro-adaptive artificial intelligence will influence our lives and will also give a demonstration. Mathematics graduate Thomas Hitziger will take guests on a tour of the Greenland ice sheet in his lecture and look back on an international scientific expedition in 2023. Prof. Dr.-Ing.
