Wolves in Brandenburg - Presentation of the scientific wolf monitoring programme

A lecture event on scientific wolf monitoring in the state of Brandenburg and its significance for the wolf population and coexistence with the wolf.

In connection with the heated debate about wolves in the state, there is great interest in education and the provision of scientifically based information among broad sections of the population. At the public event "Wolves in Brandenburg" on Thursday, 9 October 2025, the scientific wolf monitoring of the state of Brandenburg, its methods (genetics, telemetry, imaging, etc.), approaches, standards, evaluation and exploitation will be presented. In addition, reports will be given on the practical field work of wolf monitoring and the topics of species and herd protection will be highlighted.

The event is designed in such a way that questions can be asked and concerns discussed and the speakers will be happy to answer them.
