Handover of the Germany Scholarship

23 students at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg will receive a Deutschlandstipendium scholarship in the 2025/26 academic year for their excellent academic performances and social commitment.

On 18 November 2025, Prof. Dr Gesine Grande, President of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, and Prof. Dr Peer Schmidt, Vice-President for Academic Affairs at the university, congratulated the dedicated BTU students on receiving the Deutschlandstipendium. The event took place in the beautiful premises of the Brandenburg State Museum of Modern Art - Diesel Power Station in Cottbus. The director of the museum, Ulrike Kremeier, also welcomed and congratulated the students and guests. Former award-winning student Sebastian Ladendorf gave a speech and the event was festively enriched by music from Athena Skaletz and Sarah Smith from the BTU's Instrumental and Vocal Performance and Teaching study programme.

The focus was on the award-winning young people from the study programmes Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Energy Administration and Energy Economics, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, Primary School Teaching, Computer Science, Chemistry, Therapy Sciences, Civil Engineering and Instrumental and Vocal Performance and Teaching. The scholarships are only possible thanks to donations, which is why we would like to thank the 13 companies, foundations and associations that donated money. We are also very pleased that this year a Deutschlandstipendium scholarship was also made possible by alumni donations from former BTU students from Campus Senftenberg.

If you would also like to support students from Cottbus or Senftenberg, fund the skilled workers of tomorrow and have contact with high-achieving students from various departments, then please contact BTU to become part of the Deutschlandstipendium programme. The programme and scholarships can only be realised with your donations. We would therefore like to thank the sponsors of the Deutschlandstipendium for the academic year 2025/26.
