Welcome and Registration point for international students

At the start of the summer semester 2026, international applicants and newly enrolled international students can find out more about the enrollment process and starting their studies at the BTU at the Welcome & Registration Point.

Starting March 9, 2026, the Welcome Tutors of the International Relations Office will be on site to personally welcome the new students and offer targeted support for a smooth transition into academic and everyday life at BTU.

In addition, Cookie Sessions are offered at the Welcome & Registration Point on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1 p.m. (in the period 24.03.-28.04.), where new international students can find out about the services offered by the BTU (including Language Center, StuRa, Career Center) and topics relating to life in Germany (including residence permits, how to rent a flat) before lectures begin. Students will also have the opportunity to connect with the BTU Buddies - a group of student volunteers who welcome new students and help them settle in at BTU.

International first-year students will find the Welcome & Registration Point on the main campus Cottbus, in the main building on the 4th floor and on the campus Senftenberg, in the teaching building 2 in office 2.205 during the following opening hours:

Cottbus main campus: Monday to Thursday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Senftenberg Campus: Tuesday & Thursday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. (We kindly ask for prior registration with Parsa.Lavasanifar(at)b-tu.de)
