A three-day taster course
The event is open to pupils in Years 10 to 13 and anyone interested in studying at university. Some subjects are already fully booked, but the range of options is wide. The three- to four-day taster days will take place from 23–25/26 June 2026 at the BTU campuses in Cottbus and Senftenberg.
Prospective students can find out all about the university on site and see for themselves the excellent study conditions on offer. The focus is on both established and newer study programmes, such as Applied Natural Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Energy Technology and Energy Economics, and Life Sciences and International Health.
Topics such as applications and enrolment feature prominently in the programme, as do course structures and future career fields and opportunities. In addition to a few ‘real’ lectures, the taster course includes special talks for school pupils, laboratory tours, excursions, and discussions with students and lecturers – in short, a ‘comprehensive study programme’ designed to help pupils decide on the right course of study. Culture and sightseeing are also well catered for during the evening city tour.
Participation in the taster course is free of charge. Those interested still have the opportunity to complete online registration until 21 June 2026.
