BTU STEM women's scholarships for a further nine female students

The Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) has awarded the MINT Women's Scholarship for the fourth time in a row. Nine young women who have started a STEM study programme can look forward to a monthly grant of 250 euros over nine months and intensive support during their first career steps.

The 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics in the focus of the "MINT on Wednesday" series

Prof. Dr Götz Seibold, Dean and Chair of Computational Physics, will speak about this year's Nobel Prize in Physics on 5 November 2025 at 5:30 pm as part of the public lecture series "MINT am Mittwoch" of the Faculty of MINT, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at BTU's main campus in Cottbus.

Discovering the human voice at pupils university

How do we produce sounds, whether we are singing or speaking? How does our voice work? These and other questions will be discussed on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, from 4 to 5 p.m. in a practical lecture at the BTU in Senftenberg.

Nationwide campaign "Universities show attitude" - BTU is part of it

Together with numerous other universities in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is participating in the ‘Universities Take a Stand’ campaign and advocating for an open, supportive and free culture of science and higher education. All members of the BTU are invited to join the campaign.
