KLĔB A SOL - The Cottbus Welcome Party

The Cottbus welcome festival "KLĔB A SOL" invites all new residents of Cottbus to the forecourt of Cottbus town hall to celebrate, discover and network with Cottbus residents, businesses, clubs and associations.

The event starts at 3 p.m. with a wide range of hands-on activities, a varied stage programme, a table football tournament and culinary offerings. BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will again be represented with several stands.

  Join us on our interactive city map! As part of the educational project “COCO – Commoning Cottbus,” an open space is being created for the first time to serve as a meeting place for students, residents, and interested members of the public.

  With the help of small Lego sets, ideas for a climate-neutral Lusatia in 2040 can be built. The finished small creations are then placed on a large map of Lusatia. The activity primarily serves as a conversation starter about the progress of the energy transition so far and the development of Lusatia from both technical and societal perspectives.

  The Digital Pioneers project aims to bridge the digital divide between generations. In particular, during the cell phone consultation hours—supported by social work students—seniors can get answers to all their smartphone-related questions.

At our booth, you can try out how the trained Fruit YOLO model instantly recognizes and classifies different types of vegetables. An interactive hands-on activity that makes technology tangible and lets you experience AI in an exciting, understandable, and entertaining way.

The stage is set for Cottbus – a programme as colourful as the city itself

From international performances to the Annemarie Polka, from young talents to established acts. Among those taking part are the Cottbus Children’s Musical, the Femella Dance Studio, the Tanzhaus Lausitz and many more – there’s something for everyone.

With welcoming addresses from Cottbus’s Mayor Tobias Schick, the President of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg Prof. Dr Grande and the Board of Cottbus University Hospital MUL-CT, the KLĔB A SOL stage becomes a place where the city, academia and society visibly come together.

To round things off, the Cottbus band Superfuture will be performing live on the KLĔB A SOL stage, creating a real open-air atmosphere.
