Concept support for the implementation of the concept "Agroforestry as an agri-environmental and climate measure" (AUKM)

Agri-environmental and climate measures, so-called AUKM, are a support policy instrument at the level of the federal states, financed from funds of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD or "2nd pillar") of the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU and co-financed from state funds and partly federal funds. AUCMs are intended to provide incentives for innovative and environmentally sound land management practices. In doing so, a significant contribution must be made to the preservation and improvement of agro-ecosystems and to climate protection in agriculture, while at the same time improving the sector's climate adaptation. The aim of the project, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund within the framework of the Rural Development Program or by the Ministry of Agriculture, Environment and Climate Protection of the State of Brandenburg (MLUK) within the framework of supporting conceptual cooperation for market-oriented and site-adapted land management (Part A), is to provide scientific and organizational support for the implementation of agroforestry as a new AUKM for an innovative and environmentally sound land management method, which is being considered in Brandenburg.
