Scholarship »Deutschlandstipendium«

BTU awards Germany Scholarships to students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and social commitment. The scholarship amounts to 300 euros per month and is initially limited to two semesters. The scholarship is income-independent, is not counted toward BAföG, and does not need to be repaid. The next application period begins in October 2026 on this website, and awards are expected to be made in April 2027.

The following criteria must be met in order to apply for the Germany Scholarship at BTU:
- You must be enrolled at BTU
- You must be within the standard period of study
- Your grade point average must be at least 2.5 or higher. (For first-semester students, the GPA refers to the high school graduation exam score or previous academic programs)

The following information is required in the application:
- Personal information (name, gender, nationality, contact information, bank details)
- Academic information (field of study, faculty, semester at the university/academic semester, intended degree, Bafög funding, grade point average)
- Personal statement (volunteer work, social circumstances, motivation)

You will receive points for your personal statement and for your grade point average. The students with the most points will receive a scholarship. The number of scholarships varies depending on how many sponsors participate. Sponsors can choose which degree programs they want to support with a scholarship. That means that not all degree programs receive the same number of scholarships
