Health Insurance (Electronic Student Registration Procedure [SMV])

According to 199a SGB V, there is a mutual obligation to report health insurance between health insurance companies and universities.

The health insurance companies report to the university the:

Insurance status (M10)
The start of new insurance when changing health insurance (M11)
Delay in payment of health insurance fees (M12)
Settlement of overdue health insurance fees (M13)

The university reports to the health insurance companies the:

Start of degree and the day of enrolment (M20)
The end of the semester and when the removal from the register of students took/takes place (M30)

To implement this reciprocal notification procedure, the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will use the electronic student notification procedure from the 01.01.2022 - from this time on, paper form notifications will no longer be accepted.
