Online conference #KIBrandenburg – Dialogue between the Federal State and Science

The Ministry of Science, Research and Culture (MWFK) of the Federal State of Brandenburg is organizing the Brandenburg Artificial Intelligence Day on December 1, 2022 in cooperation with the Technical University of Wildau and the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg and invites all AI researchers, teachers and interested parties to exchange ideas.

Both the use of artificial intelligence in science and research and the discussion and scientific reflection on AI as a methodological procedure in a wide variety of research fields have gained considerable importance in recent years. AI is now considered a key technology permeating all areas of society. Against this background, the state government is currently developing a state strategy for artificial intelligence under the leadership of the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture (MWFK).

Within this framework, the initial conditions, opportunities and challenges of AI in the Brandenburg science and research landscape are to be discussed and a lively exchange initiated. For the first time, the online AI Day is intended to create a statewide forum with AI researchers and those interested in AI from universities and non-university research institutions and to map different AI-related competencies, projects and focal points.

The Vice President for Research and Transfer at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg - Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Michael Hübner - will participate in a panel discussion at 10:15 a.m. with Prof. Antonio Krüger - Managing Director, German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), Dr. Isabella Hermann - science fiction and future expert and Prof. Dr. Jörg Reiff-Stephan - Vice President for Studies and Teaching at TH Wildau.
