Curriculum Vitae
A. Neffe studied chemistry in Hamburg and worked on the development of active substances during his doctoral studies (Hamburg 2004) and postdoc (Christchurch/NZ 2004-2006). From 2006, he was Head of Department at the Helmholtz Centre Hereon in Teltow, where he was responsible for biomimetic materials, among other things. After a deputy professorship at the University of Hamburg for polymer chemistry (2018-2020), he completed his habilitation in Technical Chemistry and Macromolecular Chemistry in 2020. After most recently being a private lecturer at the University of Potsdam and deputy head of the Institute for Functional Materials for Sustainability at the Helmholtz Centre Hereon in Teltow, he took over the professorship for Organic Chemistry with a focus on polymers at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg in May 2025.
