Since the winter semester 2008/2009, the continuing education institutions from universities and colleges that are united in the Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung für Ältere (BAG WiWA) offer an online ring lecture.

Human images - views and perspectives
In the summer semester of 2023, we will examine the sciences that have shaped our view of humanity and our view of the world: These include anthropology, cultural studies, philosophy, and other disciplines. The lectures will offer insights into the foundations and different scientific traditions that deal equally with humanistic and natural scientific questions about human existence and evolution. Different questions and their influences on current socially relevant and world-politically significant discussions will be highlighted. The wide range of contributions offers the opportunity for a critical reflection on traditional, outdated and prevailing views about human beings.
