Qualification measure for international academics

The qualification measure "IQB" of the DAAD's "PROFI" program will start [for the last time] in the summer semester of 2023 at the BTU. International academics have the opportunity to obtain a university certificate at our university in a shortened duration of study, in order to increase their respective labor market and participation opportunities in the state of Brandenburg.

Target group

IQB is aimed at highly qualified academics who have already earned a final degree in their home country (at least a bachelor's degree) but are unable to find employment in Germany that is appropriate to their educational background.

  • Persons who have acquired a university degree abroad
  • persons with good German language skills, at least level B1
  • the project supervises a maximum of 20 participants

Goals of the measure

  • Improvement of labor market opportunities and labor market integration of academics with a migration background
  • Further university qualification
  • Improvement of the chances of a qualification-adequate employment
  • Improvement of social participation
  • Obtaining a German university certificate in a shortened study period

  • Potential analysis and individual coaching
  • Internship and applicant coaching
  • Language support by means of a professionally oriented German language course

Modules

  • Module 1: Language support by means of a professionally oriented German language course
  • Module 2: Softskill modules
  • Module 3: Specialized modules within the framework of seminars at the BTU
  • Module 4: Internship
  • Module 5: Network meeting, Meet & Greet

Completion

After all modules have been successfully completed, a university certificate from the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg will be issued. If not all modules are attended, a certificate of attendance will be issued.
