TRAVEL & COMMUTE

The venue for 5 December will be in Berlin at the Berlin Wall Memorial Bernauer Strasse, with the conference starting in the late afternoon with a welcoming speech and reception.
The venue for 6 December will be on the premises of Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU).
We kindly ask all participants to travel to Cottbus after the reception and to book a hotel room in Cottbus for the night.

The exact location of the venues can be found in the conference programme which will be published soon.

In general, it will be the most convenient to book a flight to one of the Berlin airports (BER-TXL or BER-SXF). Then, you may use the regional train to Cottbus main station which is leaving Berlin main station every hour. For the train schedule, kindly check the website of Deutsche Bahn.

ACCOMMODATION

1) Sorat Hotel Cottbus

Lindner Congress Hotel is situated directly next to the Cottbus City Hall and in close proximity to BTU’s main campus.

3) Altstadthotel
This small hotel is located close to the Cottbus State Theater and beautifully furnished.

Each hotel reserves a number of rooms for conference participants until 5 November 2018 (2) or 15 November 2018 (1, 3). Just mention the password “heritage 2018” when making your room reservation.
