Colourful experimental lecture at the children's university
Pupils from the third to sixth grades are invited to attend on Thursday, 5 June at 3 and 5 p.m. in the Central Lecture Hall Building, Audimax 2, at the Cottbus main campus of the university.

On Wednesday, 18 June, this 45-minute children's university lecture will take place at 5 p.m. in the large lecture theatre of the Konrad Zuse Media Centre on Campus Senftenberg .

The speakers are chemist Dr Michael Kleinwächter and physicist Dr Olaf Gutschker from the Unex school laboratory at the university's college. In their lecture "Of luminous liquids and invisible colours", they will use many exciting experiments to show how colours are created and why some colours cannot be seen. Colours are also used to analyse some household chemicals and make liquids glow.
The colourful lecture on chemistry and Physics in our everyday lives shows how colourful and entertaining science can be. Registration is not required.
The children's university lectures are intended to awaken an interest in solving scientific problems at an early age and give children the opportunity to experience the flair of a university.
The BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg thus gives schoolchildren from the third to sixth grades the opportunity to get a taste of university life and teaches solutions to everyday scientific phenomena in a child-friendly, exciting way. This encourages formative experiences that awaken the youngest children's interest in science and reduce their inhibitions about university.
