Nationwide campaign "Universities show attitude" - BTU is part of it

Together with numerous other universities in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) is participating in the ‘Universities Take a Stand’ campaign and advocating for an open, supportive and free culture of science and higher education. All members of the BTU are invited to join the campaign.

Three questions for the student vice president

Merlin Tesch, a Master's student of Architecture, is the first student vice president of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. He has been involved in the Departmental Committee, cultural association and campus life since 2018. As StuVize 25/26, he wants to represent students in university decisions, help shape the new office and continue to fund campus life.

What's next for water in the region?

The upcoming event organised by Wasser Cluster Lausitz e.V. and BTU will focus on the revitalisation of water bodies in the Lower Spree region. On Tuesday, 14 October 2025, Thorsten Weidner, former Manager of the Lower Spree Water and Landscape Management Association, will discuss current challenges and solutions in the region.
