Successful completion of the degree programme qualifies students for work in the fields of

  • Historic preservation,
  • Museums, exhibitions and publishing,
  • Architecture education,
  • Building administration,
  • Tourism industry,
  • Media and public relations,
  • Policy advice.

In addition, the degree qualifies for a continuation of the academic qualification in the consecutive Master's degree programme Building History and Art History at the BTU as well as – if necessary, with conditions – for Master's degree programmes with subject-related proximity, such as World Heritage Studies at the BTU as well as art history and historic preservation at other universities.
