Successful completion of the degree programme qualifies students for work in the fields of
- Historic preservation,
- Museums, exhibitions and publishing,
- Architecture education,
- Building administration,
- Tourism industry,
- Media and public relations,
- Policy advice.
In addition, the degree qualifies for a continuation of the academic qualification in the consecutive Master's degree programme Building History and Art History at the BTU as well as – if necessary, with conditions – for Master's degree programmes with subject-related proximity, such as World Heritage Studies at the BTU as well as art history and historic preservation at other universities.
