In accordance with the examination regulations for the Chemistry: Materials, Engineering and Sustainability degree programme, you may earn up to 12 credit points during your studies by completing language acquisition modules (in short: German courses). For beginners in the winter semester 26/27, the modules “12818 Basic German for University Life” or “13363 German as a Foreign Language: Start A1” are available.

Please note: Unlike other modules, there is a special point to bear in mind when registering for language modules.

Unlike other modules, which consist of lectures, seminars, etc. that can be attended directly, these modules consist of language courses for which you must also register separately. If you are interested in a language course, please email me (as the programme director). I will then forward your details to the Language Centre. Enrolment in the course takes place on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.

Only those who have secured a place on the German course can enrol for the corresponding module (Module “12818 Basic German for University Life” or “13363 German as a Foreign Language: Start A1”). You must then complete this registration via the online portal within the first three weeks of the lecture term (regardless of the Language Centre’s schedule), once your place on the language course has been confirmed.

For the upcoming winter semester 26/27, the German course A1.1 (019101 German as a Foreign Language: Start A1.1) is planned, with 24 places for international students in Senftenberg. The planned course times are Wednesdays 16:30 – 18:00 and Fridays 14:30 – 16:00. The course starts on 7 October; students joining later may do so until 16 October at the latest.
