Practical Research Training (Internship)
Both the third and fourth academic semesters of the Chemistry: Materials, Engineering and Sustainability degree programme are designed as mobility windows.
In the third academic semester, students undertake a study-related research placement.
This research internship is usually completed at a research institution or in an industrial company with its own research department specialising in the natural sciences or process engineering outside the BTU and under the supervision of a university lecturer involved in the curriculum. The choice of research institution is up to the students. Students are required to contact a research institution themselves, discuss the planned content of the placement and select a suitable supervisor from BTU. A training agreement must be concluded between the partners before the internship begins. The necessary form is provided by the module coordinator, Prof. Dr. Klepel.
