Admission to doctoral studies
The following documents have to submit to fakultaet3+forschung(at)b-tu.de:
- Registration form
- Copies of certificates of academic degrees, i.e. copies of the certificates and transcripts of the acquired university degrees.
For applicants with a foreign university degree, the following also applies:
If the original of the certificates and transcripts of the degrees are not in German or English, a certified German or English translation is required.
- Curriculum vitae
- formless declaration that the doctoral regulations are known
- formless declaration that no doctoral projects are in progress at other universities, confirmation of discontinuation if applicable
- formless declaration of knowledge of the principles of good scientific practice
- optionally, a doctoral agreement to be concluded with the supervisor
Submission of applications for admission as a doctoral candidate is exclusively done electronically to fakultaet3+forschung(at)b-tu.de.
Further processing:
- The application documents and the admission requirements will check in the Dean's Office.
- The International Relations Office will check the admission requirements of foreign applicants. This can be take two to four weeks.
- The Faculty Council decides on admission as a doctoral candidate at the next session (meeting dates with submission deadline). You will be informed by the Dean's Office after the session.
- The documents will send to the Student Services or to the International Relations Office (for foreign students) for enrolment as a doctoral student.
Limitation of doctoral candidate status:
In the case the doctoral project should be last longer than 6 years the continuation have to register in written form the Dean's Office before the end of the 6-year period. You also need the written approval of your supervisor.
