Application for a Postdoctoral Qualification
In accordance with the faculty’s regulations on habilitation, the following documents must be submitted in writing (to the dean’s office):
- Letter of application to the dean (stating the subject for which the habilitation is being applied for)
- Curriculum vitae (complete, in tabular form)
- Doctoral degree certificate(s) and certificates of higher education qualifications obtained to date (certified)
- Written declaration on oath that the written habilitation work was produced independently and that all resources used have been fully cited
- A statement as to whether, and if so by whom, the preparation of the habilitation thesis was scientifically supervised
- A list of academic publications, inventions and other technical and academic achievements
- Documents evidencing teaching activity over at least four semesters, comprising at least two teaching hours per semester at a university or comparable teaching activities at a research institute or similar institution
- a written statement confirming that the seminars were prepared and delivered independently, together with a report on the objectives, content and methods of the teaching
- a written statement as to whether an application for habilitation has already been submitted elsewhere
- a written statement specifying the language in which the teaching demonstration and the habilitation colloquium are to be conducted by the candidate
- the written habilitation papers in at least five printed copies
Entry Requirements
- Degree from a university in the UK or abroad
- Qualified doctoral studies
- Habilitation qualifications
Postdoctoral Work
- Habilitation thesis (monograph or a cumulative habilitation)
- a teaching demonstration
- an academic lecture in the subject of the habilitation, followed by a habilitation colloquium
