With the Teaching Award 2021, the BTU honors modules and teachers who show particular commitment to teaching-learning processes that take into account the heterogeneity of students under pandemic conditions and thus create new or expanded learning opportunities for students in a didactically sound manner.

"Digital Competencies for the Living and Working World" started with a lecture series with lecturers from the BTU who worked on the topic of digitalization in various disciplines in research and teaching. The lecture series was aimed at the general interested public outside the campus and at students and lecturers. Students had the opportunity to take the module within the interdisciplinary studies (FÜS), which was conducted using the "blended learning" method.

Nurse Journal Club The concept is to transfer the established tool of the "Journal Club" into a virtual platform in order to get rid of local and time restrictions and to achieve higher participation on the part of the students. The approach of the project is to be implemented together with the Kajaani University of Applied Science Finland.
