Handout "Protection from Crossing Acts" - Guideline with Checklist for Municipal Officials

The handout "Schutz vor Überfahrtaten" (Protection from Crossing Traffic) published by the Police Crime Prevention Department is primarily aimed at municipal authorities and is intended to serve as a guide for the independent development of strategies against so-called crossing traffic by means of multi-lane vehicles. It explains the roles and responsibilities of responsible actors, describes the development of an access protection concept in six concrete steps and shows the way to a systematized hazard analysis with a hazard assessment grid. It is recommended that the overall strategy, including the selection of products, be coordinated as consensually as possible with all those involved in the process. The police support this planning and implementation process in an advisory capacity with their expertise.

Under the following link, both the "Handout" and the "Access Protection Checklist" as well as the "Hazard Assessment Grid" can be downloaded and printed out or completed on screen.
