Research Internships: Application Deadlines for RISE Programs

Attention students! The DAAD offers exciting research internships for summer 2025. Apply now to secure funding and gain valuable international research experience

RISE Worldwide
Students from German universities can apply for a research internship in Canada until September 18, 2024. The internship will take place in the summer of 2025, and the DAAD will provide monthly stipends and a travel allowance.
The program is open to undergraduate, diploma, and state exam students in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, medicine, psychology, and computer science. (Unfortunately, master's students are not eligible to apply.)
In cooperation with the Canadian organization Mitacs – Globalink, the DAAD offers access to over 2,000 internship positions through the Globalink internship database: Globalink Internship Database.

RISE Germany
Doctoral students from Germany have until September 30, 2024, to post an internship offer in the RISE Germany database. Researchers at Universities of Applied Sciences (HAW) can also offer research internships through the program.
The DAAD funds up to 300 scholarships for undergraduate students from North America, the UK, and Ireland. The internships can begin as early as May 15, 2025, and typically last 10-12 weeks.
English is the working language, and in 2024, 2,358 students applied for projects in Germany! Most applicants come from the fields of natural sciences, engineering, and computer science.
