The Institute of Medical Technology was opened in January 2016 and combines the potential of the Cottbus main campus with that of Medical Informatics and Engineering and Health Sciences in Senftenberg. The promotion of young scientists through the new Medical Informatics study programme and the development of internationally recognised research in the field of Medical Technology are the top priorities.
