Bridge to Studies Presence from German B2
Do you want to start a degree programme at BTU and currently have German language skills at level B2? Would you like to complete your preparatory programme on the BTU campus? Then "Bridge to Studies Presence from German B2" is the right programme for you!
Within one semester, you will acquire the necessary language skills to start your degree programme at BTU.
You will get to know BTU, the student community, Cottbus and Lusatia from day one. The intensive language course programme is supplemented by a variety of project lessons and exciting excursions. You will be supported in conversation training by experienced student tutors. At the end of the programme, you will be ideally prepared for the DSH exam.

Information on the programme
Application:
Applications for the "Bridge to Studies On-Campus from B2" programme are only accepted for the respective winter semester. Applications for the summer semester are currently not possible.
You can apply for the programme via www.uni-assist.de. Please note that this is only possible if the desired study programme starts its first degree specific semester in the following summer semester. This only applies to our Master's degree programmes or the Bachelor's degree programme in Economathematics. A separate application for the degree programme is not necessary here. Please indicate the study programme you wish to start after successfully completing the language preparation programme in your application. Your application will also be checked for this.
The admission of sufficiently qualified applicants will be based on the number of places available, depending on the receipt of your application.
You must submit the following documents online with your application to uni-assist:
- School and higher education documents and higher education entrance qualification (and a certified translation into German or English).
- Academic performances already achieved, previous Transcripts of Records or the certificate of your Bachelor's degree with a complete overview of grades
- Recognised proof of German language skills at level B2 (overview of language certificates recognised at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg)
- Copy of passport/ID card
- In case of transfer to another university: exmatriculation and non-objection letter
Aus meiner Erfahrung kann ich sagen, dass "Brücke zum Studium" eine großartige Möglichkeit ist, um das Deutsch zu verbessern und die deutsche Kultur und Geschichte zu entdecken. Darüber hinaus kann man über seine Heimat sprechen und neue Länder durch die Kommunikation mit den Kommilitonen kennenlernen. Es ist keine Übertreibung zu sagen, dass es der beste Deutschkurs ist, den ich besucht habe.
