The majority of Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) are taught in German. A recognised proof of language skills is mandatory for starting a German-language degree programme.

If you would like to start your studies at BTU but do not currently have the necessary language skills, BTU offers various intensive preparatory programmes in German. This will enable you to familiarise yourself with BTU and prepare you optimally for the start of your degree course.

You can start the German study preparation programme from language level B1. All German preparatory programmes conclude with a recognised language exam, either the German Language Test for University Entrance or the digital TestDaF. In the programmes, you deepen your general German language skills and expand your academic and technical language skills with a special focus on BTU's fields of study.

Participants in the preparatory programmes are enrolled at BTU. The regular semester fee is charged for this programme. There are no further fees.
