Campus Life

Also at our campus, there are many opportunities to connect with fellow students through shared interests, cultural events, and meaningful activities. Whether you are looking for social events, creative spaces, or community initiatives, there is something for everyone.

On the Campus Life website, you will find a wide variety of clubs, initiatives, and organisations you can join.

Cottbus also offers a lively event scene. From Campus Club Night, Cottbus Open, and Mückenflug to student club quasiMONO and many more events and venues — there is always something happening. In Cottbus, you won’t get bored.

Keep yourself updated on events and activities through our international news letter and here:

International Student Groups and Clubs

We encourage all students to socialize and engage with people from various cultures in order to make the most of their stay here. However, there may be occasions when connecting with fellow countrymen can be helpful.

The can be valuable support when you need it. Twice a year, these groups meet with the International Relations Office for a roundtable discussion to exchange ideas and address community concerns.

They also contribute to celebrating cultural diversity on campus and regularly host Culture Nights, representing and celebrating different nations and cultures. These open events offer a unique and exciting experience for everyone.

You can find a list of various groups and clubs here:

Learning Languages

In addition to the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg Language Center students also have further opportunities to improve their knowledge of other languages. The following offer show how easy it can be to broaden your language horizons.

Language tandem

The BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg Language Center faciltates language tandems. Anyone who is interested can send the required information, stating which languages they speak and which they would like to learn. Once two people have matching criteria and interests, the Language Center will connect them.

Intercultural Festival 'COTTBUS OPEN'

If you are talking about integration, the best example could be the Cottbus Open. This intercultural dimension adds more colour to the annual Cottbus city festival.
