Safer space: room for exchange, empowerment and solidarity
Invitation to Safer Spaces: spaces for exchange, empowerment and solidarity
Experiences of discrimination can be hurtful, exhausting and isolating. There is often a lack of safe spaces where those affected can meet, share and empower each other.
With Safer Spaces, we want to open up precisely such spaces - for people who are affected by anti-Muslim racism, anti-Semitism or tin* (trans, inter, non-binary) hostility.
In separate groups on these topics, we create places where your perspectives take centre stage: This is about your experiences, your voices and your forms of resistance and self-care. The meetings are facilitated by experienced community trainers who are themselves part of the respective communities.
Together we want to:
* Share experiences, recognise and make them visible,
* Develop strategies for self-empowerment and dealing with discrimination,
* Strengthen connection and solidarity between those affected.
