Summer School »Characterization of micro- and nano-materials«

The key aspect of the upcoming Summer School 2021 on »Characterization of micro- and nano-materials« is »Synthesis, characterization, and application of layered materials«.

The scope of the Summer School comprises modern topics in materials synthesis, experimental characterization, and application. Particular emphasis will be put on state-of-the-art characterization techniques such as X-ray and electron diffraction, various forms of photoelectron spectroscopy for electronic and chemical analysis or at near-ambient conditions, scanning probe microscopy, fullfield electron microscopy, as well as X-ray tomography.

Within the five-day program the participants will be able to gain and exchange knowledge based on introductory tutorials and specific talks rendered by renowned scientists and specialists in their various fields.

Owing to the present circumstances, we are planning a hybrid event, where lectures in live and synchronized online format will be presented. Similarly, the participation is possible online or in-person.
