The BTU is looking forward to welcoming its students on campus
BTU President, Prof. Dr. Gesine Grande, emphasizes: "Universities live from the exchange with each other. Young people benefit in a special way from communication and community on campus. We are very pleased to finally be able to welcome our freshmen once again in presence at their start of studies at the BTU and warmly welcome all other students back to campus." The university management and faculty could hardly wait to see how personal encounters and discussions enrich the courses and how student life returns to Cottbus and Senftenberg, which benefits from listening and talking, openness and lots of ideas. "That's what being a student is all about!"
All measures necessary for health and infection control will continue to be implemented by the BTU in everyday university life.
"We are expecting about 300 new students to enroll in their first semester at BTU for the summer semester. Of course, we are very pleased about this," says Prof. Dr. Peer Schmidt, Vice President for Studies and Teaching."Just over half of the new students come from abroad. However, only a few degree programs start in the summer semester; the majority of our degree programs begin in the fall. Here, we achieved a remarkable result in the last winter semester with the enrollment of about 1,500 freshmen and a total number of 6,800 students."
BTU is enrolling in 21 master's degree programs in the summer semester of 2022. In the bachelor's area, enrollment in the business mathematics program is possible.
Faculties and student representative bodies welcome their new students. In order to cope well with the start of the studies, e.g. with regard to content-related and organizational questions, various possibilities for exchange have been created.
