Lecture series "Refugee Migration - Basics and Current Challenges".

In the second lecture of the event series, Susanne Riepe will give an insight into the topic "Asylum laws: rights and difficulties in everyday life".

Since 2017, the Geflüchteten Netzwerk Cottbus (GNC) and the BTU Department of "Sociology for Social Work" have been cultivating critical conversations on issues of flight and migration, racism and diversity, empowerment and self-determination. In the summer semester of 2022, they jointly invite you for the first time to an interdisciplinary lecture series:

Refugee Migration - Foundations and Current Challenges.

The second lecture of the series is dedicated to some central aspects of asylum legislation.

The speaker Susanne Riepe works for the Caritas Region Cottbus as a service coordinator for the area of migration and leads the project "Fair Integration Brandenburg". She advises third-country nationals on topics related to labor law and social law.

From this perspective, she experiences the challenges of the application and implementation of asylum laws and will provide a first insight into the complex topic with her lecture on "Asylum laws: rights and difficulties in everyday life".
