Career prospects in the focus of campus-X-change

Regional, national and international companies as well as research institutes will present themselves on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cottbus Central Campus of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) at Brandenburg's largest recruiting fair for academic professionals.

Students, graduates and all other interested parties will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition stands of the campus-X-change at the BTU Forum to talk to exhibitors from almost all sectors. The companies are particularly looking for prospective academic specialists and offer numerous internships, working student positions and graduate positions. Pupils are also invited, as at the same time many pupil internships and dual practical places are offered and information on career prospects is provided. Admission is free of charge.

"The fact that campus-X-change 2022 is fully booked is testimony to the excellent reputation our recruiting fair enjoys among exhibitors and visitors alike," says Prof. Dr. Michael Hübner, BTU's full-time Vice President for Research and Transfer. I'm particularly pleased that this year, in addition to companies, research institutes newly established in Cottbus as part of the structural transformation will be represented here to meet their great need for skilled workers."

A good half of the 72 exhibitors come from the region. In addition to numerous small and medium-sized companies, BASF, Deutsche Bahn and Rolls-Royce, for example, are also represented at the traditional job fair, as are public employers such as the German Federal Police. Among others, Ernst & Young GmbH - an auditing company from Stuttgart, the Cottbus-based Sonocrete GmbH, which deals with climate-friendly concrete production, and the Berlin, Bonn and Cottbus-based Zukunft - Umwelt - Gesellschaft (ZUG) gGmbH, which is a project management organization that oversees international and national funding programs in the field of environmental, nature and climate protection, will be present for the first time.

In the run-up to the recruiting fair there will be a Matching platform for the arrangement of appointments at the exhibition booths. As before, however, the booths can also be visited spontaneously. Students and alumni can get into direct contact with personnel decision-makers and project managers from specialist departments, whereby it is advantageous to already bring a CV with you. The campus-X-change not only offers the chance to find out about specific job offers, but also provides an overview of numerous companies and institutions, including their need for skilled workers and hiring requirements. Visitors will find several hundred job offers on the campus-X-change job wall. Free services include an application portfolio check and a photo service for professional application photos.

Parallel to and in close proximity to campus-X-change, the performance and innovation capabilities of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and its partner companies and institutions will be the focus of the  7th BTU Transfer Day on Tuesday, June 14, from noon to 5 p.m.

Since 2002,the campus-X-change recruiting fair has offered employers an excellent platform for recruiting skilled workers in direct contact with students and graduates of the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. Visitors have the opportunity to get to know potential employers and numerous career options in an informal atmosphere. The campus-X-change 2022 is once again under the patronage of the Brandenburg Minister of Economic Affairs, Prof. Jörg Steinbach.
