Green hydrogen and power-to-X

On Monday, June 21, 2022, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) visited BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg as part of the information tour Israel

Among other things, the delegation learned about the Lausitz Science Park and the Hydrogen Center at the BTU as well as the projectsCenter for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (CHESCO), TurboFuelCellFuE and the Energy Innovation Center as well as the research training group Trustworthy Hydrogen.

From 20-23.06.2022 RENAC AG together with AHK Israel organized an information trip on "Energy production with focus on green hydrogen and derivatives" for a delegation from Israel to Germany. The aim of the information trip was to give the delegation as comprehensive an overview as possible of the fields of application of energy production with green hydrogen and to explain solution approaches and practical examples developed by German industry. Likewise, during the visit of reference objects, the delegation had the opportunity to experience the applications in operation and to establish contact with manufacturers. The aim is also to improve the knowledge of the participants on the design of framework conditions for the use of green hydrogen and its derivatives as well as the exchange with the German industry.

The BTU-BAM Research Training Group "Trustworthy Hydrogen" established by the BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg and the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) combines the knowledge of both institutions to train the next generation of young scientists.
