The CHE ranking proves: High satisfaction with the general study situation at the BTU

This year, the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU) once again receives top marks in the renowned CHE university ranking. In the current evaluation in law, economics and social sciences, it is represented with its study programs in business administration and engineering, business administration and social work.

As in previous years, the evaluation of the engineering and natural sciences as well as the health sciences emphasized the BTU's special strengths in the areas of student support and the start of studies, which facilitate the transition from school to university. A wide range of personal support services help students here, especially in the first and second semesters.

In the Bachelor's program in business administration and engineering, satisfaction with the general study situation is extremely high - students praise both the range of courses and the use of digital teaching elements. Support during the course of study is rated as very good, as is the support provided by lecturers and the organization of studies and examinations. The students also award top marks in the categories of rooms, library equipment and IT infrastructure. The BTU also achieved a top ranking in this degree program for its career guidance services.

The general study situation in the bachelor's program in business administration is also rated as excellent. BTU business administration students rated the courses offered, the organization of studies, and the support provided by lecturers as very good. The program also ranked among the best in the categories of introduction to scientific work, career orientation, rooms and IT equipment. Student ratings also put the library facilities at the top of the list.

The bachelor's degree program in social work is also ranked at the top in terms of completion within a reasonable period of time and in the category of contact with professional practice. Here, too, students praise the introduction to academic work and the support provided by lecturers. In addition, they rate the practical phases and the practical orientation in teaching as excellent.

Prof. Dr. Peer Schmidt, Vice President for Academic Affairs at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg, emphasizes: "These great results in the current CHE University Ranking for the business and social science programs fit seamlessly with the results of the evaluations in the engineering, natural and health science subjects. The fact that we can confirm the high quality of our degree programs with increasing numbers of first-year students encourages us to consistently continue on the path we have taken with a variety of efforts for a successful start to studies, for optimal student support and for modern equipment."

With around 120,000 students surveyed, the CHE University Rank ing has been the most comprehensive and detailed comparison of universities in the German-speaking world for 25 years now. The complete ranking is now available digitally on HeyStudium at www.heystudium.de/ranking.
