Record participation: More than 100 exhibitors participate in the campus-X-change

Regional, national and international companies as well as research institutes will be represented at the largest job fair for academic professionals in the state of Brandenburg on Tuesday, June 6, 2023.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., students, graduates and schoolchildren will have the opportunity to explore career opportunities after graduation at the Cottbus Central Campus of the Brandenburg University of Technology (BTU).

Traditionally, the BTU recruiting fair campus-X-changeis traditionally aimed at students and graduates of all degree programs and disciplines at the university. In the foyer of the Central Lecture Hall Building (ZHG) and in the large exhibition tent on the Forum, they can talk to company representatives from almost all sectors at more than 100 exhibition stands. In addition to individual offers for the professional future, the companies offer numerous internships, working student and graduate positions.

This year, in addition to academic professionals, high school students are also welcome at the campus-X-change. In addition to career counseling, many student internships and dual internships will be offered. For example, about 200 young people from four high schools in the region have registered for this year's fair from grades 10-12. All interested parties are cordially invited. Admission is free.

BTU President Prof. Gesine Grande emphasizes the importance of the campus-X-change for the region: "For more than 20 years, we have developed the campus-X-change into an extraordinarily successful platform and contact exchange for our students and graduates on the one hand and the companies and institutes on the other. This year we were able to almost double the number of exhibitors, a strong sign that campus-X-change plays a central role in meeting the growing demand for well-trained specialists for the dynamic structural change in the region. For the first time, we have expanded the fair to include the "School meets campus-X-change" offer for high schools, for which more than 200 students* have already registered. There is a huge demand for our campus-X-change and its potential for attracting skilled workers, career orientation and successful transformation in Lusatia. I thank all the organizers at BTU and our partners who made this success story possible."

Note for students and graduates*:

Via a matching platform there is the possibility to arrange appointments at the booths in advance. In addition, the booths can also be visited spontaneously. For direct contact with HR decision-makers and project managers from specialist departments, it has proved useful to bring a CV with you.

Whether it's for information on specific job openings or an overview of skilled labor needs and hiring requirements, it's worth stopping by: Visitors* will find several hundred job openings on the campus-X-change job wall. Among the free services offered are an application portfolio check and a photo service for professional application photos.

Since 2002, the campus-X-change recruiting fair has offered companies an excellent platform for recruiting skilled workers in direct contact with students and graduates of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. Visitors have the opportunity to get to know potential employers and numerous career options in an informal fair atmosphere. The campus-X-change 2023 is once again under the patronage of the Brandenburg Minister of Economic Affairs, Prof. Dr.-Ing.

A good half of the companies and institutions come from the region. In addition to numerous small and medium-sized companies, 2023 will include, for example, BASF, Deutsche Bahn and LEAG, as well as public employers such as the Federal Police, the Investitionsbank des Landes Brandenburg, the Carl-Thiem-Klinikum and the Brandenburg State Office for Real Estate and Construction at the traditional job fair. Among others, the German Institute for Standardization (DIN), Geothermie Neubrandenburg GmbH and Energie- und Wasserwerke Bautzen GmbH will be represented for the first time.
